Dr. Jason Way, ND.
I grew up in Northern Virginia near the north entrance of Shenandoah National Park. I grew up with a more natural/holistically centered mom and homeopathy was one of those tools we often used before anything else. In college I originally intended to be a wildlife biologist or scientist of some form, but after some major life events (one being my father’s health crisis) – I felt drawn to do something more directly to help people and shifted my focus towards medicine. If you ask me today what I want to be when I grow up, I still don’t have a great answer – but I have found the most meaning through helping families navigate and heal from PANS and PANDAS and I am grateful to be able to do this work.

At Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ (now Sonoran University for Health Sciences) I started shadowing homeopathy shifts as early as I was allowed (once I found out I was able to). At first it was because I wanted to work with people faster and feel like I was doing more than sitting in a classroom – but then I started to see just what homeopathy could do. I started to see a pattern, that when on other clinical rotations the doctors and students weren’t sure what to do, or their best efforts failed – they tended to refer people to the homeopathy shift. I realized quickly how impactful homeopathy could be (and how difficult it could sometimes be). That helped me realize that I needed to spend as much time as possible learning it well – and I made sure to be actively participating in a homeopathy clinical shift at all times (and eventually be a teaching assistant for the homeopathy classes).
Before joining Resilience Naturopathic, I emphasized my practice around digestive concerns, chronic infection and autoimmune conditions. That experience gave me direct experience of what does and doesn’t work – and through the process I kept returning to Homeopathy as what was having the most meaningful impact to help people heal and get their health back.
I currently live in Sonoma County, California – I spend all of my free time with my family. We’re either homeschooling, hiking, reading books, exploring the coast or the redwoods, riding bikes or whatever other craft/game/etc the kids are most into at the moment.
